What to measure
A 2x2 bin is usually chosen for volume or for one bulky item, so start from the contents. For loose parts such as screws, decide whether you want four compartments, as here, or one large one. For a single object, such as a glue bottle, a multimeter or a roll of tape, measure its widest and tallest points: the open bin is 80.3 mm square inside, and at 63 mm high it is about 57 mm deep. Then check the height of the place it will stand. 63 mm is nine of the usual 7 mm steps; many drawers are too shallow for it, and 42 mm is the safer height there.
Clearance, wall and material
The clearance to the grid is 0.5 mm, giving 83.5 mm where two cells are 84 mm. The outer wall is raised to 1.6 mm, four passes of a 0.4 mm nozzle. On a small bin 1.2 mm is plenty, but a wall 80 mm long and 60 mm tall flexes when you grip a full bin, and the extra pass makes a clear difference. The dividers stay at 1.2 mm; they are braced by the walls at both ends. Each of the four compartments is about 39.5 mm square. Filled with steel screws, a bin this size weighs several hundred grams, so prefer PETG, which bends where PLA would crack if the bin is dropped.
The underside
There are four plain square feet, one per cell, each 35.6 mm wide and 4.75 mm high with vertical sides. They are not the stepped stacking profile, and the rim has no lip, so the bin drops into a 42 mm base plate but nothing locks on top of it. If the feet are tight in your plate, increase the foot inset by 0.1 or 0.2 mm; this shrinks only the feet and leaves the body of the bin unchanged.
Printing
Print feet down. The floor bridges the 6.4 mm channels between the feet without support. A tall thin-walled box shows any wobble in the printer: reduce outer wall speed to around 40 mm per second for the upper half, and keep the layer height at 0.2 mm. With four feet the first layer is four separate squares, so make sure each one sticks before leaving the print; a single lifted foot makes the bin rock in its plate.

The bin on a 42 mm base grid needs a licence key: without one the generator shows the model locked, lists the values from this link and fills them in as soon as you unlock. The fitted drawer organiser bin is the free model and downloads with no key.
